What Level It Down is — and isn't

Level It Down is an educational planning tool. It performs arithmetic on numbers you provide and presents the results with explanations. It is not financial advice, credit counselling, insolvency advice, legal advice, or tax advice, and using it does not create an advisor relationship. Decisions about your money remain yours. For personalized professional guidance, consult an accredited non-profit credit counsellor, a Licensed Insolvency Trustee, or a licensed financial professional.

Estimates, not promises

Plans, payoff dates, interest totals, and credit-health projections are estimates based on the information you enter and the simplifications described on the Methodology page. Actual lender calculations, fees, rate changes, and your own behaviour will produce different results. We never guarantee a payoff date, an interest amount, or any change to a credit score.

Your responsibilities

Enter information honestly and keep it current — the plan is only as good as its inputs. Keep your account credentials secure. Use the service only for your own household's planning and never to violate any law.

Accounts

You may close your account at any time in Settings, which permanently deletes your data. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service (for example, automated scraping or attempts to access other users' data).

Availability and changes

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We work to keep it available and accurate but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Features may change; material changes to these terms will be posted on this page.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Level It Down and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service, including financial decisions made based on its estimates. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable Canadian consumer-protection law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
